On pages where the gallery is at the bottom below a Text/HTML module with lots of text, you have to scroll back down on every click.
This happens in the main view. For instance. If you click a album, back to the top of the page you go. Then click a sub album, back up you go, etc.

I'm afraid I'm not convinced. I feel this is more a page design issue. One should simply not place oft-used content at the bottom of long pages. Clicking anchors every time is no more userfriendly than scrolling... both should be avoided if one wants happy site users. However, if it's quick and easy both to implement and also hide, then I see no reason to not have it if some module users really want it. I give it thumbs-neutral.

I think I agree with Robax on this one, if you click on an album and page scroll half way down to an anchor, you might miss any relevant information at the top.

I do not agree. The function will make the module more versatile. It is the designers who decide for every project what is good and bad design. If the module flips out of scope, I will say it is plain confusing.
